Leslie RoldanBiosketchLeslie Ann Roldan is the Executive Director of the Cell Decision Process Center, and a Lecturer in the Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She received her BA in English from Stanford University, and her PhD in Biology from MIT. Prior to coming to MIT’s WAC program, she was a scientific editor with Benjamin Lewin’s Virtual Text, where she commissioned and edited college-level text and articles for the web in microbiology, introductory biology, structural biology, and neuroscience. At MIT, she teaches scientific written and oral communication, primarily in the departments of Biology and Chemistry. Her scholarly research focuses on how undergraduate students develop scientific communication skills through oral presentations and journal clubs. |
